LF - Low-frequency inverter

Energy-efficient process

For melting and shaping

The melting and forming of metals requires the application of high energies. A low-frequency inverter from EMA Indutec is ideally suited for this purpose.

Melting:
Short melting times are achieved thanks to high power density. The adjustable nominal frequency ensures a long crucible service life. An oversized working area ensures flexibility in the melting process, which is particularly important for batch operation.

Forming:
Workpieces can be completely or partially heated. Short heating time thanks to high power density. The induction system is ready for immediate use. No preheating is necessary. Good reproducibility of the process contributes to high quality. Integration into production lines is possible thanks to the small space requirement.

By generating heat directly in the workpiece or material to be melted, induction offers a particularly energy-efficient process.

Areas of application

  • For channel or crucible furnaces for melting metals
  • Forging / forming: Blocks, billets, bars, tubes, rails
  • Heating through molds
  • Melting glass
