thyssenkrupp rothe erde uses induction hardening systems from EMA Indutec

EMA Indutec is establishing itself more and more as a partner of the energy transition. Among renewable energies, wind power is playing an increasingly important role. It is one of the growing markets for our customer thyssenkrupp rothe erde, a subsidiary of thyssenkrupp. 

Already for many years we have been supporting the world market leader for large-diameter bearings thyssenkrupp rothe erde in inductive heat treatment. For the inductive hardening of blade bearings (also called pitch bearings), which are a component in modern wind turbines, our customer uses the EMA system type Libra - Flip Table.

The special features of this system are:

  • Machining of workpieces horizontally and vertically.
  • Up to 30 tons per workpiece 
  • 400 kW converter power
